Mary-Jane is a member of our Criminal and Family Law Divisions.

Mary-Jane assists with a wide range of criminal law matters from summary offences to more serious large commercial importation offences. She has extensive experience with Local, District and Supreme Court Bail applications, as well as the highly publicised Ironside Investigation (An0m) matters. Mary-Jane has assisted in the preparation of Criminal Court Appeals in the Supreme Court, and has experience in briefing and instructing Counsel at Local and District Court levels.


Mary-Jane worked for a sole practitioner within the area of criminal law for five and a half years. She began working as a paralegal at the practice in August 2017, whilst she was completing a Bachelor of Laws at Macquarie University. She completed her law degree in 2020 and graduated with a Major in Criminology. She then completed her Diploma of Legal Practice (PLT) at the College of Law and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW in October 2021.

Mary-Jane has a wealth of experience with complex organised crime matters which made up the dominant portion of the previous practice she was employed with. Her experience includes analysing/summarising voluminous briefs, preparing/appearing in bail applications from Local to Supreme Court levels, assisting with sentence appeals in the CCA, appearing in District Court trials and independently managing all administerial functions within a criminal practice.

Mary-Jane also works within our Family Law Team assisting to provide economical representation in all family law matters.  With a wealth of experience in domestic violence matters and a background in account management Mary-Jane is well equipped to assist with all manner of simple and complex parenting and property matters.  Mary-Jane brings a wealth of personal and professional experience to the advice she provides our clients and relishes being able to assist our clients through the process from separation to securely and safely moving on with their lives.

Life outside of WMD Law

Mary-Jane is a mother to a Playstation playing high school aged boy. She is also the lead female vocalist for a well-established covers band and they play gigs all around Sydney on a weekly basis.
