WMD Law were proud to be the Platinum Sponsor of the Celebrating Women in Business Luncheon, held to commemorate International Women’s Day. The function was held at Dolton House, Sylvania in March 2012.
One of our principals, Rebecca Flynn, gave an entertaining speech about what it means to be a “Woman in Business”. In addressing the crowd of multi talented and enthusiastic Women In Business, Rebecca was able to draw on a wealth of experience from her past as an International Karate Champion and the NSW Young Property Lawyer of the Year and now as the head of our Property Group that provides service from Sydney to the Victorian border.
Rebecca also introduced special guest speaker Kerri Pottharst, who is one of Australia’s most popular female sporting personalities, famous for winning gold for Australia at the 2000 Sydney Olympics in beach volleyball.
At the event, Kerri challenged the crowd to participate in the “glass walk” – our own Amanda Doring, Senior Associate in the Family Law division, took to the challenge and successfully completed the walk with not one cut!
This was a wonderful event to be part of and we look forward to participating in 2013!
