Jessica McKinley

Jessica McKinley is admitted to practice as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and High Court of Australia and predominantly works in our Family Law, Criminal Law and Estates teams.
 
Since joining WMD Law, Jessica has gained experience in preparing estate planning documents including Wills, Testamentary Trusts, Special Disability Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Appointments of Enduring Guardian.  She has experience in dealing with complex estate needs including those of blended families and vulnerable beneficiaries.
 
Jessica can assist you with your duties as an Executor and Trustee in administering deceased estates.  She has experience in preparing applications for grants of probate and letters of administration and assists in the conduct of estate litigation.
 
Jessica also operates in the area of Family Law and has practical experience in parenting and property matters.  Jessica assists the Family Law team with case management, discovery and expert evidence on both parenting and property matters.
 
Jessica  has experience in the conduct of both local and district court criminal matters including drug matters, driving offences, licence appeals, bail applications and sexual assaults.  Jessica has a wealth of experience in briefing counsel and thoroughly enjoys  researching the law.  She is extremely efficient in sourcing evidence, liaising with counsel and expert witnesses. 
 
Background:
 
Jessica completed a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Wollongong.  Jessica joined WMD Law in 2015 as a law clerk and was admitted to practice as a lawyer in NSW in 2016.
